Member-only story
piss or water you’d think i
were more than this or at least
i did way my mummy rocked me
soaked myself in scotch get
the stickers off put
two lips to the fire too
proud unburnt. no hair on
my knuckles i’m a pattern. no soot on
my ledges keeping clean. no shirt on
my pants are back east,
my records in your house
tell me something else. never
write drunk something else.
whine and hiss and purr like you
sleep where’s soft need
someone to feed ya breakfast. so
i’m taken i am not stirred. so i’m
beaten i am not broke. so
i’m livid i have not lived. so i’m
choking i ain’t yet croaked.
scream me something who owns my words
not nobody but the madwoman in my attic
wretching clues to crimes what i done.
