every where i been
a poem by jacob berg
1 min readAug 11, 2020
wake up early friday
to read job postings
and write poetry
at the oakwood table on shelbourne st.
ripe mangos and mint tea,
the cat’s hair is falling out,
the sky is island gray. i’d be
anywhere but here (so
say i from every
where i been). smoke
wishes at the wall, paint
truthfully today or
die again (so
say i, every
where i been).
